Very Disappointed!

I had such high hopes for Black Friday. I truly thought that it would be a good day and I would sell at least a few bows but I didn't even sell one. I thought I promoted my butt off but I guess it wasn't enough still. I am going to leave my prices up for the weekend and for Cyber Monday. Hopefully that will bring a few sales in. I am almost ready to give up on selling them. I sent emails to friends and family, sent out bulletins on Myspace, blogged about it, twittered about it, journaled on CM about it and NOTHING!!! My views didn't even go up that much. I have been on ETSY for over a year now and I don't even have 70 sales yet! I guess my bows aren't gawdy enough or something. I wish someone would be honest with me and let me know so I can fix it.

Okay I am off to pout and cry into my hot tea with lemon and honey. BOOHOO!!!!

Getting ready!

Turkey is thawing and getting ready to cook tomorrow. My oldest is bored out of her mind and I am trying to find something for her to do. I am bored. I need to get busy making more bows for the Black Friday Sale. I need to get some pics taken of the ones I do have done and get them listed.

Well guess that means I need to get off of here and start getting things done.

Turkey Day!!!

I went to town and bought a turkey today... A 21lb turkey to be exact. BIG TURKEY!!! He barely fits on the bottom shelf of my fridge. I got chosen to cook the turkey this year. My DH's uncle is cooking the ham and most of the sides. So yeah, we will have plenty of meat for our Thanksgiving. There will only be about 20-22 people there but we will have a feast for a crowd of about 50. That is how DH's family does things. They are big eaters and it shows on all of them. Including me. It has taken me about 9 yrs to realize that most people don't eat that much food at one sit down meal. They do everyday meals big too. I have gained about 80 lbs since I married my DH a little over 10 yrs ago. Just in the last 6-9 months have I started to par down my eating habits. Honestly I am not a eat-when-i-get-bored or an emotional eater. I eat 3 meals a day but then for the rest of the time I sit on my tush infront of this computer or am watching tv while making hairbows. Yes I do get up and take care of my kids and cook meals and clean a little bit. I am working on getting up and doing more.

When I first started cutting down the amount of food I fixed for a meal, DH threw a fit. He thought that if there wasn't left-overs, then there wasn't enough. But it has taken me a little bit to get the exact amount of meat needed for each meal and not have too much left overs or to not have enough. I am fixing more sides and not just a meat for supper. I have cut WAY back on boxed meals. I have started to cook more from scratch and some meals are a flop and some are great.

We are by no means turning into health nuts but we are eating somewhat healthier.

This is what I have been working on. Well, this and being sick and making more bows. LOL


I have had what everyone else has had for weeks now. I have a sore throat, cough, and no energy. I don't have a stuffy nose at all. Just my throat hurts like crazy. I have been drinking hot tea and honey and that seems to help a tiny bit. Cough drops leave a yucky taste in my mouth. Oh, and nothing tastes right right now either. YUCK!!!! I DON'T LIKE BEING SICK!!!!

Well, here in a little bit i am off to go get my oldest from Pre-K and then when we come back and every monster is fed and taken care of........I will turn on a movie and I will go blog surfing and possibly blog layout surfing too. I will let you know what I find. Today is a lazy day to spend on the internet.

I had a woman that I went to HS with contact me and wanted a bow to match their school colors. So here it is.....

It is a triple-layer bow. I think it is cute! Hopefully I can get a huge sell off of this. Praying that it happens.
Other than creating more bows, I don't have much to do today. I will probably take the kids out to play after lunch. The weather is nice today but is supposed to turn rainy and colder next week. Everyone has colds here. Snotty noses everywhere!!!! Yuck!!

Halloween was great!!

This is my youngest. She was NOT happy wearing the curlers. Actually they aren't curlers they are perm rods. I wanted her hair to be curly for her Halloween custome. She barely sit still long enough to let me do these to her. I had bought the new Tinkerbell movie last time I was in town and let her watch it while I did her hair.


I didn't have enough curlers to
do my oldest daughters hair so I just used the curling iron on her hair.





Here are my two beautiful daughters. My oldest insisted on being a bride this year, and my youngest insisted on being a princess. So here they are. The princess's hair is super cute. This is the best picture I could get of them. Youngest daughter hates for her pic to be taken. They got tons of compliments when we went trick or treating.
